Is there a fee for the first meeting? >>
Our first meeting is an introductory session at no charge. It gives you the opportunity to evaluate us and we have the chance to determine if we can be of service to you. To make it a productive meeting we provide a checklist of items you should bring, as well as things you can be thinking about prior to our discussion.
What other service offerings do you provide? >>
Our primary service offerings are investment management and financial planning.  We also offer advice on restricted stock programs, stock options, 401(k) allocations, and deferred compensation programs. We are also licensed to provide insurance policies for our clients and work closely with other professionals for tax preparation, real estate financing, estate and family trust planning, and banking needs.
I was referred to your firm, visited the web site, and now have a good understanding of what you offer as a service. What are the costs for financial planning and investment management services? >>
Our financial planning fees are based on the complexity and level of effort required to deliver a complete plan for your financial future. We present a fee proposal prior to client engagement. Our investment management services are billed on a fee-based schedule that varies based on the assets you have asked us to manage.
How can I estimate future college costs, and more importantly what are some tax-advantaged ways to save for college? >>
A number of tools are available to forecast college expenses that, according to the College Board amount to more than $35,000 per year on average for a four-year private college or university and are growing at an annual rate of five to eight percent. The 529 College Savings Plan is one way to invest funds now to be withdrawn tax-free in the future if the funds are used for higher education. We can examine multiple scenarios to determine the best approach for you.
I am starting a new business. When do I get you involved in the start-up process? >>
The best time to engage an objective third party into the start-up planning phase is sooner rather than later. One of our key specialties as a firm is helping business owners with the financial planning and tax strategies that can help make a difference in their ultimate success.
